Safety and your health
Is Shatavi medical advice?
No. Shatavi is an educational fitness-guidance app. It isn't a medical device, it doesn't diagnose anything, and using it isn't the same as seeing a doctor.
"Doctor-built" means the rules that shape your plan were written and signed off by a doctor. It doesn't mean a doctor is looking at your data. For anything about your own health, talk to your own doctor.
I've never lifted weights. Is this for me?
Yes, and many people start exactly there. Your plan begins at your level, and the first weeks build a movement base before adding any load.
The setup quiz asks a few safety questions. If an answer suggests checking with your GP first, the app says so plainly. During a session, stop and rest if something hurts: the sharp kind, not honest effort.
What happens if I feel unwell during a session?
Tap "Feeling a symptom?" at the top of the screen at any time. For something like a hot flush or dizziness, the app offers a change for today only, such as a longer rest, a set taken off, or a seated version of the move.
If you report chest pain, fainting, a racing heart or shortness of breath, the session stops and the app tells you to get checked. It doesn't guess at the cause.
Which stage of menopause is it for?
Perimenopause, menopause and the years after. If you're not sure which stage you're in, that's a perfectly good answer. You don't need a label to start.
Getting started
What do I need at home?
Very little. Sessions can use just your bodyweight, a chair and a wall. If you have resistance bands or dumbbells, or you go to a gym, tell the quiz and your plan will use them.
How long is a session, and how often?
Between 15 and 40 minutes, on the days of the week you tell us you can train. Most plans are built around three sessions a week.
For the days a full session is too much, there is a 15-minute version, and it counts the same.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Sessions play offline, and what you do syncs when you're back online.
Your week
What if I miss a week?
Nothing is lost. Your history stays where you left it, there are no daily streaks to break, and your first session back is eased so restarting feels manageable.
In the app, that reads: "You've been away, so we've eased this session to help you restart safely."
What if I'm having a bad day?
Tell the app. When you open it, a short, optional check asks how you are today. Changes for a bad day apply to today only and never rewrite your plan.
If you run out of steam partway through, "Finish here instead" saves what you did, and it counts the same as a full session.
Can I share my progress with my GP?
Yes. The health report is a plain summary of your consistency, strength and wellbeing that you can hand to your GP. You choose when to share it, and it stays available even if you stop your subscription.
Price and your data
How much will it cost?
Shatavi will be a subscription, bought through the App Store or Google Play, with a 7-day free trial. We remind you before the trial ends, and you cancel in your store settings. The Learn library is free.
Prices will be shown here and in the app before you start a trial.
What happens to my health data?
Your health answers, symptoms and check-ins are kept only with your clear yes, and you can withdraw it at any time. They are never used for advertising.
You can download a copy of your data, or delete your account, from inside the app, whatever your subscription.
What do you do with my email if I join early access?
We use it to tell you when Shatavi launches and, only if you tick the second box, to send occasional updates before then: at most one email every two weeks.
We don't ask anything about your health, and we never share your email with advertisers.
When can I get Shatavi?
Shatavi is launching on iPhone and Android. We haven't set a date yet. Join early access and we'll email you the day it's ready.
